Exciting New Exhibitors at the Fair

This year’s LAPADA Fair is set to make history as it welcomes a larger-than-ever group of new exhibitors to commemorate its 50th anniversary. The new galleries will showcase an extraordinary range of art, from both contemporary and vintage jewelry to Renaissance objet d’art and vintage posters. With a particular emphasis on contemporary pieces, visitors can expect to discover a fresh and exciting selection of works.

One exciting new exhibitor is Kallos Fine Jewellery, created by established antiquities gallery Kallos Gallery to blend their specialist knowledge of ancient art with expertly selected and exquisitely crafted fine jewellery. Kallos Fine Jewellery breathes new life into enigmatic ancient elements that still have many stories to tell. Their collection of ancient coins, intaglios and amulets each have a unique connection to the past and are a miniature piece of ancient art in their own right.

MADEINBRITALY, which showcases contemporary applied arts and collectible design, is another gallery joining the fair for the first time this year. The gallery aims to revive the connection between Italy and Great Britain, two nations that sought a synthesis between aesthetic value and the industrial production of manufactured goods. MADEINBRITALY pursues two main themes: one purely decorative, including unique pieces or limited editions by contemporary artists and makers, the other focusing on exquisite objects of use created by contemporary designers. In addition to exhibiting artworks by established artists and designers, the gallery is also an experimental platform for emerging talents working in a variety of media including ceramic, glass, wood and textiles.

New exhibitor MMX Gallery will expand the fair’s photography offering. The gallery was founded in a former photography studio in London in 2014 by Mark and Magdalena Shackleton. The gallery uses photography as a catalyst to exhibit new and established photographers and photographic artists. Encompassing a strong aesthetic and creative energy that manifests itself through their exhibited photographers use of personal techniques that brings a unique and timeless vision. As well as discovering new artists and nurturing their ways of seeing, MMX Gallery also unearths previously hidden archives to realise the continuing magnetism of vintage prints.

Don’t miss the return of the fair from 23 – 27 October (Preview on the 22nd). Book Today.
