LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair Builds on Strong 2025 Success and Announces Dates for 2026 Edition
27 October – 1 November 2026 | Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London
Following the success of its 2025 edition, the LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair has announced dates for its 2026 Fair, which will take place from 27 October to 1 November 2026 in the heart of Mayfair.
The 2025 Fair marked a significant milestone for LAPADA, recording a 10% increase in footfall compared to 2024 and reinforcing the Fair’s strategic focus on curatorial excellence, international reach and museum-quality works across all sectors.
The 2025 edition demonstrated LAPADA’s growing stature within the global art market, attracting leading collectors, institutions, specialists and first-time exhibitors alongside returning dealers. A notable rise in museum-calibre objects and art of internationally recognised importance underscored the Fair’s ambition to set a benchmark for quality and scholarship.

This emphasis on excellence was reflected in the Fair’s Excellence Committee, which included Dr Hartwig Fisher, Director of the World Cultures Museum in Saudi Arabia, who attended the Fair throughout the week. He was joined by Helen Molesworth, Senior Curator of Jewellery at the V&A; Nina Campbell OBE, internationally renowned interior designer; Alexander Kader, former Head of European Sculpture and Works of Art at Sotheby’s; and Christina Trevanion, auctioneer and presenter of Antiques Road Trip. Adding to the well-rounded Excellence Awards committee were Anna Lipskaya, head of arts The Birley Group; Selma Day Editor of Mayfair Times; Emma Bevan, Influencer and Founder of Little London Whispers; Adam Ellis, designer; Deborah Smith, ex Director of the Arts Council Collection, now a freelance curator.
Highlights of the 2025 Fair included an exceptional concentration of museum-quality works, among them Sir Joshua Reynolds’ The Yellow Boy, offered by Winsor Birch; Bill Brandt’s Nude, Campden Hill, 1953, presented by James Hyman; and the Turquoise and Diamond Cartier Tiara, circa 1930, once owned by Nancy, Viscountess Astor, exhibited by The Jewellery Trading Room – the replica of which was exhibited at The V&A during the Cartier exhibition in 2025.
The Fair also reported strong commercial success. Among the most notable sales was Henri Martin’s Les Faucheurs (c.1903), sold by Winsor Birch for approximately £500,000, and Paul Vanstone’s Ocean Head (2025), a monumental Bolivian Blue Marble sculpture acquired for £25,000. Several exhibitors reported increased sales year-on-year, with Paul Vanstone doubling sales compared to 2024 and Winsor Birch placing multiple significant works.

More than 70 exhibitors took part in the 2025 Fair, including first-time participants such as James Hyman, Tomasso, Koopman Rare Art (Jewels) and Winsor Birch, alongside returning exhibitors including Butchoff Antiques, Anthony Fell and Oliver Newton.
The 2025 edition marked the first Fair under the leadership of Elizabeth Shanks, LAPADA’s new CEO, who joined in June 2025 following senior roles at the British Museum, Sotheby’s and Barker Langham.
Elizabeth Shanks commented:
“2025 marked the beginning of a new five-year strategy focused on driving quality across the Fair and attracting influential buyers from new international markets. The positive feedback from buyers, exhibitors and leading experts confirms that we are on a strong upward trajectory.”

Exhibitors echoed this sentiment, with Lorenzo Tomasso of Tomasso describing the Fair as “highly positive for sales,” while Charlie Minter of Winsor Birch praised its “excellent ambiance, setting and presentation.” Paul Vanstone noted “a freshness and renewed energy,” and Lennox Cato highlighted exceptional footfall and long-term relationship building.
The Fair’s visual identity also made a striking impact in 2025, with the Berkeley Square marquee wrapped in ‘Carnival Bloom’, a bespoke design by Adam Ellis Studios that transformed the Square with an a utumnal palette and imaginative illustrations, creating an unforgettable first impression.
With momentum firmly established, LAPADA now looks ahead to the 2026 Berkeley Square Fair, returning from 27 October to 1 November 2026, promising another exceptional showcase of art, antiques and design at the highest international level.
